INDIA: Jaisalmer – The Golden City

This post includes some final images from the Golden City of Jaisalmer.  These first two images of a gypsy family in Jaisalmer Fort are among my favorites so far.

Early monring at Gadisar Lake

A young woman and her child at Jaisalmer Fort

A young girl practising for her performance outside Jaisalmer Fort.

Young boys in a village in the Thar Desert near Jaisalmer entertaining themselves, and us, with a rusty tin can . . .

. . . and then posing for us.

Locals in Jaisalmer, especially the women, seem to live a good part of their lives on the rooftops.  This woman in yellow caught my eye as she went about her morning chores just after sunrise.

My next stop in India . . . Thar Desert.

Until then, Namaskār,

Lisa
